its actually a blessing for crime...they are branded as criminals and sent to criminal college (prison) to make connections and learn the trade...when the drug dealer comes out he is not in position to do much else but sell dope...

so now they go get a job as an accountant/whatever or they wait for the next batch?...its not like the drug dealer will say "screw crime im going legit"....
it is the almighty law of demand and supply...even in prison where conditions and security is inhuman, the main business is selling drugs...
saying that the war on drugs has any positive effect at all, is the intellectual equivalent of flapping your hands in the air and claiming you can fly...every junkie knows where to score every day, in any time in history, in any place in history...its just that politicians are "above" reality
