Yes, instead of costly trials and pesky due process we should simply execute people on the spot. Sure we'll make mistakes, but the chances of it affecting us are slim, and just think how many tax dollars we'll save.
If you want to argue about the cost of incarceration, start with non-violent offenders who are no risk to the public and who could and should be sentenced in cheaper, more productive and more humane ways, outside of prison.
Of course the reality is that our prisons are commercial enterprises that provide corporations with slave labor -- which is why we have 2.3 million prisoners, compared to 7.7 million in every other country in the world put together -- and releasing non-violent prisoners would reduce their 'workforce' by half.
