The only thing they know is the pack. little dogs develop dominant behaviors such as sitting on your lap because it's tolerated--it's harmless. you wouldn't let a 100 pound rotty sit on your lap. He is immediately shown his place is not on a lap. Think like a dog & not a person. ;)
