Back in the day we did the thumbs like 100px and the big pics 500px on the long side.
These days I do my thumbs at around 250px and my big pics at 1000px on the long side. Decent quality but not hi-def by any means.
They want the good stuff they can click the link and go to a sponsor or search elsewhere.
But thats just me, of course.

That's exactly my point.
You make bigger pics now with reasonable compression.
I still see pics 500px on the long side with photoshop compression quality set to 3.
When surfers are on the tubes getting hours of free video, fuzzy small photos are useless.
The damn video has a clearer image.
