There is no way to get an image from an embed code short of having your server launch X, load the embed code on an html file in firefox, take a screenshot and then crop that part of the image out. By all means doable for a one-off site but kinda complicated... If you are doing it based on a video page url, you can check if the site has those opengraph tags or whatever they are called in the <head>
