"We didn't find any part of the airplane that indicated a mechanical failure," one of the whistleblowers says in a trailer for the film. The former officials allege the explosion came from outside the plane, though they don't speculate any further on the original source.

They didn't find any part of the airplane that indicated a mechanical failure. Well, you can understand that being as it crashed into the freaking ocean and didn't leave a neat little pile of debris for you to pick.
Saying "we didn't find any part of the airplane that indicated a mechanical failure" is not the same as "It must have come from outside the plane" or "It must have been a missile". It just means you don't have all of the pieces.

Another of the whistleblowers, former senior accident investigator with the NTSB Hank Hughes, said in a preview of the documentary that FBI agents were spotted on surveillance cameras going through the hanger where the crash evidence was kept "in the wee hours of the morning... for purposes unknown."

Oh my god... What would FBI agents be doing at a hanger first thing in the morning? There must be a conspiracy!
The FBI had a sixteen month investigation, which was not part of the FAA or teh NTSB.
Isn't really strange that the FBI was there at all. In fact, common sense would insist the FBI be there at some point.
Some people are just fucking idiots.
