An interesting thing about the English language is that the neuter pronoun isn't "it", it is "he". (It is for objects, never people.) If you aren't sure of a gender, then you say "he".
Given that GFY is a mostly-male environment, and most of the "females" here are just men pretending, it is perfectly reasobable to call someone as "he" by default.
In fact, it strikes me that many people on this board could say they are "really" a woman after posting here for a while. Since we don't believe most of the people who say it to begin with, we might be justified in being a bit skeptical.
