An update and some good news:
Roona Begum, a baby suffering from a rare disorder that caused her head to swell twice its normal size, underwent another round of reconstructive surgery successfully.
The four-hour long surgery was to remodel her head, which was disfigured after draining fluid in an earlier life-saving operation.
The doctors expect her head to shrink more after this operation.
?Today?s surgery was the biggest one so far in terms of remodelling her head. I think it went pretty well,? neurosurgeon Sandeep Vaishya told AFP.
Begum suffers from hydrocephalus, a buildup of fluid inside the skull that leads to swelling.
Begum?s parents were unable to afford treatment but after the story, the hospital offered to treat the baby for free.

The toddler girl has been making steady progress after being admitted in hospital in mid April.
