Anyway i would suggest working out 5 times a week. A cardio workout. So you can go heavy, but not max. I would sugest pyramiding your sets.
4 sets of an exercise...12 reps, 10, reps, 8 reps, 6 reps....increasing weight each time.
Do not take breaks in between sets.
So you are getting a cardio workout as well as lifting.
