If he sided with religious extremists, then yes.
If half the population (of any country) decides to live by the rules of some bullshit religion, and the other half believes in true freedom, then I know who I would side with.
As long as today's Republitards insist on approaching all issues here in America through religious positions (as they appear to be doing more and more), then a revolution may not be far from reality here in the US, as well.
