Mike I hear ya. It's hard for me to give actual adult-biz advice because I'm not seeing your blogs or the work you do. Didn't you do animation or something with hentai or am i way off? LOL
Anyway, #1 thing to "take care of" in life is actually 3 things:
Warm
Full
Dry
So you're living at home, that takes care of 'dry' and I assume you're eating and wearing clothes. So unless any of those are about to change semi-immediately I wouldn't panic. I would set Goals.
When I started 5 years ago Adult was dying even then, a race to zero, everyone said it couldn't be done...yet I'm hanging on and actually growing. But I chose NOT to be an Affiliate but rather a Program owner. Huge differance. If I were to recommend to anyone staying in Adult it would be as an Owner.
But you have immediate concerns. But as I said, not knowing really the kind of work you are doing it's hard to give advice. But I would say do this right away, if you haven't already: find 5 people/businesses/websites in Adult you admire and know are "doing well" and making money. Then ask yourself: can I see a way of getting to where these people are? If I set a Plan can I get there? How long would it take? How much money would it take?
The end result of being your own Boss is, to put it mildly, "amazing". But it comes with amazing responibilities and almost endless head-aches, too. So, in the end you may decide to just get a telemarketing job, something where you can work from home, etc, and say fuck it to Adult. Few would blame you.
Follow your instincts Mike: if you are waking up in a panic then that's your unconscious telling you to MOVE (take action, not move out) and make a decision. I PROMISE you: once you make a decision about what you will actually do (and hopefully have a reasonable Plan to carry it through) you will feel 1000% better. Why? Because the word "decision" literally means "to cut off from", meaning once you have decided something all other options cease to exist and the overwhelming pressure you feel is instantly gone.
Adult will always be here, too, in case you're worried about "losing" something. Instead, GAIN some peace of mind, make a decision.
