A lot of people are knowingly bullshitting for various reasons. Some want you to use their program or click their ref link. Others are trying to convince themselves the business is still worth it.
Some others just don't know any better. For instance a running joke is people who claim to do 1:200 with Nasty Dollars. Well if Nasty Dollars says you sent 200 clicks you probably really sent 1000-2000. No one seems to know exactly what they are counting.
The chances are most other affiliates see conversion rates near what you have unless they are targeting terms heavily or they have exceptional Geo. Don't be fooled.
Try pushing some cams after hooking them on a girl. Send them to the direct link to see her live. They can't pirate it so your chances are better as long as the site isn't operated by crooks.
