You will need it.
There are some nasty FACTS attached to the Stand Your Ground law.
Won't be like OJ or any trial like it.
O'Mara (One of GZ's attorneys) said today in an interview the Martin family should think twice about bringing the suit as all the dirty laundry against TM will be on full display. If Martin family loses they will have to pay GZ's legal fees. Also, the stand Your Ground Law if applied in criminal case and defendant wins, defendant is immune to law suits based on presumed civil rights violations. This is why Eric Holder keeps saying he will abide by the law and the facts and why the Martin civil suit will probably never leave the dream stage.
I've been talking to friends from around the globe last few days. Every color you can imagine. All said one thing: I am paraphrasing of course, "I do not hate American blacks but their actions and behavior make me wary and worried to be around them." "If I lived in America I would never live near them. They attract problems/trouble/violence." That last quote came from 3 different Africans who do not know each other, each from a different country.
BTW, I was married to Arab-African before and consider North Africa my second home. I do not hate people based on their color. I tend to hate/distrust people based on their actions and lack of character. I am upper middle class and I hang with the middle and upper classes.
Maybe that makes me a classicist, but it is my comfort zone. Most normal people search for their comfort zones.
