The "compassionate" are often very selective in their supposed compassion. Protesting is almost always a selfish, feel good thing for the individual... not really about affecting change. In fact, I think that is most cases, its one of the lowest forms of human behavior because its based on a lie and lack of compassion. For example, giving the junkie/homeless guy 5.00 at the intersection.... when the truth is that he's going to buy booze or drugs, vs actually trying to do something to improve his life, getting him help etc. People spend 100 calories demonstrating their compassion... then burn countless 1000s of calories letting everyone know how much they care and how little you don't.
The discussion of race is a great example of misguided people pretending to care. No one gives a shit how many kids were killed in Chigago. No one knows how many died today. No one will ever see a face, know a name or hear the mother cry. But... people who claim to care about helping never do the math... the uncomfortable math that no one here is worried about running out of gas in the Jewish part of town. No one here is looking over their shoulders as they withdraw money at the ATM in the Indian neighborhood. No one is discussing shitty Japanese test scores in education. No one is wondering why Koreans commit such a disproportionate number of violent crimes. No one is pondering why 50% of Arab women are single mothers.
The most selfish and destructive part of the discussion of racism is that liberals have made discussing any problems racist. So many problems and the only politically correct and acceptable answer is to blame white people. Yet... all other immigrants and minorities, including black immigrants and living their lives, going to work, getting educations, opening businesses and making the most of their lives, while US born blacks want to talk about how horribly they are treated.
Here is a funny thing that NO ONE talks about. African blacks more often than not, look down on US blacks.
