While I can understand where you're coming from with this - that the industry does need to have some level of responsibility - but I think this example (and a lot of the other 'extreme' examples I've seen) doesn't work.
Fucking in public is illegal. Porn in the internet isn't. Even if said public fucking were completely legal, I don't have some kind of sunglasses I can pop on my toddlers face that will filter out all the public fucking, whereas I do with my home computer.
My biggest issue with the whole opt-out filter is all the baggage that will come along with it. I'm sure I'll be added to some kind of list, and we all know what happens with lists made by the UK - it ends up lost on some subway in London or used for some political ends.
The other issue with this whole announcement, though, is much more damaging to the industry than the filtering - the banning of 'extreme' porn. Hell, the majority of the web sites I've worked on since starting in this industry would be shut off completely for UK viewers.
