Wouldn't it make more sense to write Damian directly with your concerns, if indeed you are truly worried about his welfare?
The way you are obsessing on Damian (like DVT) doesn't exactly make you look good (or even much better than him), and I'm not sure that Damian's reputation can be damaged here anymore.
