Shared is basically you have resources pooled on a server, one person could take your site down if theirs got really popular...
VPS is essentially the same thing as Shared, but using beefy fucking servers that virtualize the system, so instead of you all eating out of the same pie, you only get a slice of the pie and once you eat your slice, you can't get more without buying another slice. Also it gives you the ability to manage your own server.
Cloud is like VPS except it's in the cloud. Many VPS providers say they're "cloud" but it's no real difference than VPS.
