The major problem here is that there IS no "adult industry" per se. Instead what we have is a group of loosely-associated/interconnected freelancers and independant companies selling adult material. Some companies work together well, some do not, some business models work well, others no longer do. But to expect loyalty, fealty, honesty or anything resembling Industry-wide integrity is ignorant at best and childish at worst.
Companies (and people) generally do what's in their own best interest. So instead of realizing this, adapting accordingly and moving on with your life people spend endless hours complaining and nothing changes.
