pashnit is a good forum, and I did get good advice on there before doing a trip.

That thread has over 120,000 views as of now. Did the trip just over 5 years ago and had a hell of a time camping out by myself and staying with strange old folk I met off of craigslist.
Honda's are dependable. It was fun knowing there was only 20hp between my legs that was propelling me across America.
It's inspired half a dozen people to do the same thing.
