$15 to $16 an hour would be a good wage to pay to an employee who has a skilled labor position AND has proved he is a responsible worker (shows up on time, adds an extra value to the company above and beyond what the entry level workers do).

But no way in hell that McDonalds should pay the young person with their first job at the drive in window $15 an hour. That makes zero sense and takes away any need for people working there to even try to do a good job and get a promotion.
