I don't ask the state the permission to have a legal right, because i don't need the state's opinion on this topic, so i don't see why a gay mariage is an improvement.

Perhaps the roughly two thousand legal benefits that come along with it? As simple as having the love of your life on your health insurance policy, being able to sit next to them in ICU, or them deciding to pull the plug, or them not having to pay estate taxes upon your death and a ton of other things?
