Aren't the two types of muscles needed for long distance and sprinting somewhat different though? Not disagreeing with you, it is going to be great for weight loss for sure. Just confused as to the exact meaning.

More of an oxygen intake thing. I'm sure there are different schools of thought on the subject, but all I know is that with the workout I get from sprinting, it couldn't possibly make me weaker in other areas.
but I'll admit I don't do a lot of long distance running because its boring as shit and not an efficient use of my time if I want to burn max calories the quickest.
