"To investigate that, a recent study by German and Swedish researchers used data that followed 1,000 Swedish children from one town over 40 years.

They found that, in comparison to people who did not found businesses, entrepreneurs were more likely to have displayed anti-social behaviour in their adolescence.

The sort of behaviour that qualified as anti-social included:

staying out later than allowed
truancy
cheating in exams
getting drunk
smoking marijuana
shoplifting
loitering in town in the evening

But more serious criminal activity was not a predictor of later business flair. "

Believe it or not, it's starting to lean that way more than you think: http://www.mentalhealth.com/dis/p20-pe04.html

Anti-social was first used to describe those years ago who were quiet, shy, keep to themselves... but then the medical professions just realized that was everyone under the age of 18 because they grew up in a generation that realized on smart phones to communicate

now it's viewed as "against society" rather than "not with society"

however that does make more sense if you think about the behaviors of those individuals, one being myself

those people tend to be more "risk takers" rather than conform to the unwritten guide of how to get along in society. my dad was not happy when I picked up and moved to California after I graduated, especially since I had NO JOB and no money. rather, took a gamble as I didn't want to work in an office and start in the mail room and work my way up.

for the most part, these are the individuals you see being loud at a bar, having a more attractive partner, driving nicer cars. they take risks then reward themselves greatly for it -- rather a "normal" person would prefer to seek out a job with security and save money.
