I still see some possibilities that the industry could self-police and come up with a better set of industry standards which might enable us to continue to shoot condom free, in much more controlled circumstances than we have now, but there is a severe lack of leadership in this industry full of mavericks.
However, if this proves to be another HIV+ case, or worse, just one of more cases to come, I am afraid you are right, especially if we act as if we have learned nothing from this current HIV+ outbreak.
Seriously, Diane Duke is a nice person (we've spoken a few times), and she has done tremendous work over a long career in the adult industry, primarily as a paid spokesperson, however, if the FSC wants to continue to exist, the Board needs to take a serious look at itself, from the perspective of talent in the industry, the media, enemies of porn, and as people with a moral conscious, and tell Diane Duke that it is time for her to step aside so that the organization can reassess itself (particularly it's direct financial involvement in industry testing), and hopefully make some necessary changes.
If the industry does go condom-only, then I hope that everyone will continue testing. As I understand it, there are some people that are HIV+ shooting with condoms (and possibly some who are HIV+ shooting without condoms) in a small sector of the adult industry.
