the best way to bring it up is to be direct. don't say dumb things like your friend was talking about it or joke around about the subject to see her reaction. if you want her to know it matters to you and you are hoping to experience it with her just say it and wait for the other shoe to fall where it may. the worst that can happen is she says she will never be open to it. ask before you get engaged so you have a better shot at a yes hehe.
