I would suggest final cut pro. It's affordable and works fast. You can add filters, effects and lots of other cool options and the slow motion is pretty good. It also has a stabilizing option if ever your shots are a little wobbly. As a camera I suggest you get something like a canon T3i (affordable and semi-pro) with a good lens with a stable tripod so your shots will be nice and stable. eventually I suggest you also get a camera rail or make it yourself, their are a lot of tutorials on youtube that teach you how.
