A few professional poker players may have luckily foiled a plot where criminals were targeting their laptops. This happened at the EPT Barcelona where many of the players were staying at the Hotel Arts Barcelona.
Some of the pros busted early and went back to their rooms where their keycards were not working. One player reported that after having problems getting his roomkey to work, he got it fixed in the lobby where upon returning noticed his laptop was moved. After a few more trips his laptop completely disappeared. Unfortunately for him and fortunate for the thieves, the 8 security cameras at the hotel were not working. His laptop was later returned but it appears it was tampered with.
Why would this happen? Most likely to install a trojan on the computer and use it to play against these players where the hacker would basically see what cards he was playing with. Some of these players probably have 7 figure bankrolls.

Now the hotel is getting negative reviews on trip advisor and it seems there are more complaints that are happening with this hotel.
