I have tons of experience dealing with people in this and similar subject and I already know how much time and effort it takes to change someone's way of thinking. Basically, it took me several years for my well educated friends from France (professor of history and second one is writer) so they finally understand what happened. It is important to mention that they were already open minded and wanted to see and asked to come and visit places that you won't ever be able to visit. From that perspective, talking and wasting time with some rednecks would be really stupid and it is up to you how you will interpret that. (just take a look at post above how long it took for him to write something that was so obvious, but yet, some of you guys needed that explanation,anyway). It doesn't make any difference for me.
