Again, a 3d model is just as real as a real model right now. Better even as was suggested that you an stylize the model anyway you want.. Further, you could replicate any lighting conditions you wanted from any type of environment, light fixtures/bulbs to longitude/latitudes and time of year. This stuff exists right now. In fact, I was learning 3d studio max in 98/99 and it existed then.
