I want to make another important point here.

The movement really is not left or right, the one I'm a part of at least.

(a) I don't advocate for political solutions. So that right there pulls me entirely off the spectrum you're trying to place me on.

(b) First I was a republican because my parents were. Then I became a small-government, strict constitutional minarchist (a political libertarian). But then I stumbled upon a video from Stefan Molyneux that made a lot of sense, which was the final nail in the coffin to my belief in any amount of statism.

And that is this... In 1776, we conceived the smallest government experiment ever. Because of this, prosperity was abound due to very free and open markets. But because society had placed an emphasis on a small group of individuals with the ability to rule, those individuals eventually used that prosperity to grow, grow, and grow. To the point at which the US government has become the most fierce, and invasive monster than ever.

Smallest governments become the largest governments. And that's because those in positions of emmense power, are (a) corruptible and (b) chemically addicted to power and want more of it. When one exercises power over another, dopamine gets released in the brain, which is a substance that's been found to be just as addicting than cocaine (if not more so). It's why cops are power hungry assholes, and politicians are corrupt pieces of lobbied-out shit.

With that idea, I certainly do not align my beliefs with republicans who chime on about "small governments!" anymore.
