I knew a mechanic that was honest. Did everything to save you money on repairs. Instead of just throwing new parts at things, he would do his best to try to repair something first before just nailing you for new parts. And his prices were unbelievably low.
Last year he went bankrupt and lost his garage.
Now he works for a Dodge dealership that I would never consider taking my vehicles too since they are known for being such scumbags. Awful because we finally found a decent mechanic and now he's useless to us. And even if he does pull himself up and open his own garage again, you'll be he won't be so fair and honest after going through a bankruptcy.
