Think about this... if the industry was to embrace .XXX and buy them all up, that would give ICM a lot of money to then further their agenda. That agenda would be to mandate all adult content be placed on a .XXX extension. They would campaign to eliminate all competition by trying to pass laws that adult content cannot be placed on .com, .net, .biz, .info, etc.

They are, without any doubt in my mind, trying to corner the adult tld extensions. And they will campaign for more tlds, under their control. Well... if you have a gay site, it needs to be under .gay extension, etc.
