I was in Manchester the other day, and I got out my taxi at the station, for my trip home, and decided to have a smoke before I entered the station, and then boarded the train for a 4 and a half hour journey when I couldn't smoke...
I went to a designated smoking area - About 15 seats, under a shelter, with ashtrays ect. Sat down on the very last seat, and lit up...
I had not been able to get a 3G phone reception signal in a the part of Manchester that my hotel was in.... (The mast was down) So now, at the station, I could make a few calls I needed to... So I did...
I was aware of a guy sitting down one seat away from me (IN THE DESIGNATED SMOKING AREA)
Half way through my calls, I could tell out of the corner of my eye, that he was staring at me... So I turned to look at him - He appeared to be a 'Muslim' and he was holding his jacket up over his face, like I was going to poison him!
My first thought, was if he didn't like smoking, why sit in a smoking area, VIRTUALLY RIGHT NEXT TO ME, (There were all the other seats vacant)
Well, me being little harmless me, just thought that he was a bit silly at the time - But now I look back, I can see that he was clearly trying to intimidate me....
Same 'kinda' thing, but on a much less violent basis....
Its really sad... If we say anything - WE ARE RACISTS - But they can do what they like, because they believe in an 'invisible man in the sky' - So therefore have the HIGHER MORAL GROUND....
