It's apparent the copycontrol.org organization is not registered non-profit and therefore contributions are not tax deductible. If the organization did not file for charitable tax exempt status the "donations" can be considered income and must be filed to avoid tax evasion. By federal law, a "donation box" is considered a business and not a non-profit donation. In short, unless you're a registered non-profit, you have to pay taxes on all income, including gifts. That's the basis of my inquiry concerning their expenditures.
