You are making a "general argument" that has nothing to do with this case.
These
people were detained for buying something with a credit card;
not shoplifting.
How was it determined that their credit card purchases were suspect and they needed to be detain by the police?
Tell us how that works and that will solved the issue.
Tell us how to use a credit card correctly so no one will have a reason to complain.
