Al Sharpton is scumbag who makes his money by convincing people to be victims.
That said, racial profiling still exists all over this country. A very good friend of mine is black. She is married to a white guy. About 6 months ago they moved to a small town (about 5,000 people). She got pulled over multiple times by the police the first month they lived there. It was always for stupid shit and she was never ticketed. She was pulled over because she was black.
Eventually her husband called and talked to the police chief. He asked if it would make their lives easier if they just brought down some pictures of her and had her take a lie detector test so all the police in town could relax and realize the new black wasn't a bad person and leave her alone. Of course the chief denied that anything was going on, but magically she has never been stopped since.
