This seems snooty but it's the truth. When I first switched to Linux I had like six applications I thought I was going to use with WINE. Two of them worked well enough to use but later I found there were native Linux applications to replace them which were usable and in many cases the Linux applications were better than the Windows ones.

I mostly use Linux and it's been at least four years since I relied on WINE. WINE should more be for some odd application which you want to get running for which there are no similar Linux apps yet available. You have about a 20-30% chance that it'll work and the more complex or newer it is the less the odds of success.
