It is easy to understand PR's point of view here. Piracy related clicks are probably a huge portion of the clicks they provide to advertisers. If they disabled ads from all of these sites the network loses the ability to deliver viewers in large quantities. Problem is the traffic from these publishers is probably shit anyway. I would bet the quality of PR traffic would immediately convert better without the piracy websites. I would imagine with cleaner traffic the price per click would rise making more money for their publishers and themselves.
The people on AK's ass I assume are afraid of his effectiveness. I admit, I am no fan of AK... sometimes he comes off as a tool. But, what he is doing is going make the adult business better and stronger in the long run. To get things done you must be a dick at times.
To stop piracy you must take away the financial incentive. The ad networks are a natural progression in his work. I dont think PR is a bad company for trying to keep the business model alive. But they know what is happening on their network is wrong. They will have to change because they are wrong to do business with piracy sites.
In the long run it will help their business, even tho there will be pain in the beginning. But producers and paysite owners have been hurting a very long time. It is time for everyone to man up and get rid of these criminal sites. Turning a blind eye to put a little change in the pocket has gotten this industry to this point.
