If you're going to donate, I would only do so with the Red Cross. But even they are getting skimmed heavily just to operate there. Food and supplies get taken from them, re-sold, and so on. It's a tragic situation. It's African and Haiti level corruption, but in SE Asia.
Best that can happen to be honest is the USA or UN send in troops and aid to help them directly. In terms of money reaching it's target there, this is Haiti all over again.
It's heart breaking.

Heartbreaking indeed. People who watch the devastation on the news think "man, that's sad" but the reality is, things are a million times worse than what is shown on tv because it's not just the devastation of the storm that fucks up their lives, it's the added devastation of their own government not giving 2 fucks about them whatsoever.
