A parent forces their child to go to school, to do their homework, not eat chocolate all day and other such things because they know better.

And you, in your belief system, "know better" that if they do not find Christ/belief/whatever that they will suffer either directly (hell) or indirectly (lack of grace/not being saved/empty life).

So you love your kids enough to let them make the biggest mistake of their lives which could affect them for *eternity* ?

I find this sort of odd. Either you aren't much of a believer or you're not much of a parent? Which is it?
