Now that I think of it, I think google might have have another problem with the way plugrush is used by most webmasters. Often the so called widgets are "sneaky" indeed - for example on tube sites they look no different than thumbs of videos but user gets redirected when one clicks on them. This I am certain matches the definition of sneaky redirects 100%.
However I have never used them and still got hit so it has be mobile redirects and/or widgets. There is still no confirmed proof that plugrush is the reason but most of folks whose sites got de-indexed recently have been using it.
