No we are not going to beta the new system, we're doing internal testing and status meetings every night (the developer is US based so I guess night for me and our sales rep that helps test and day for him + his "assistant"). When we go live, it will be 99% bug free and we have solid deployment methods to roll out new features and bug fixes.

I don't think it was a complete waste of time, I've learnt a lot about what people want - most I knew already, but I've validated a lot of this and that's important. But it all came at a price of $xx,xxx calculating everything except my own time. That's ok, cause we (sorry VB, I) anticipated this. Well... except having to rewrite everything ><

Yesterday has come and gone and still no e-mail. Deja vu. There is now about 50 hours until all the old sites go offline, so you might as well not waste your time with the Google searches you call crawling.

You have ignored every single very legitimate question I have asked you, yet you persist in thinking that somehow you are eligible to make any kind of demands. How? By throwing people under the bus of the public opinion I guess.

http://video.easyxblogs.com/ that has one post on it, with a link to some file that I cannot identify. I have no idea who owns the content, for all I know it could be the dude that made that post. Or someone else. There are probably millions of porn scenes out there, how the hell am I supposed to know who owns what and what licenses people operate under? I am supposed to just take your word for it? You are doing searches like: "rapidgator + *.easyxblogs.com" I imagine. But back to that site:

What is it you expect me to do? Delete the site just because you posted a link saying it has pirated content but yet you refuse to tell me who's property is being infringed? And then what do I say to the user once he complains? Reply: "We think you linked to pirated content so we deleted your website..." Really?

When we go live with the new system, it's one report per site and it has to come with a sworn statement - at least when it comes to intellectual property infringement. Illegal content is a whole other deal and a regular report is not enough of course.

You know this. Why do you persist in not doing what is required? I am not trying to make it hard on anyone to report things, but we have to cover our own ass and make sure that we have the proper documentation.

But there is a way allowing you to continue doing what you do, the way you are doing it and that allows me to actually act on it.

I spoke to my lawyer yesterday and she said that if you give us a copy of: Your drivers license/passport, A government issued ID showing your place of residence, the company registration papers and a sworn statement that you act under power of attorney for all rights holders of the content you are reporting as infringed to us. We can (in some time) build a tool where you can mass blanket report sites and until then you can just e-mail us lists.

Just know that every time someone complains about a suspended/deleted site, I'll point them your way and that I will be forced to check with a number of the rights holders that you claim to represent the first time you do a report.

And I think or hope, that I don't have to spend more time debating this piracy thing. If anyone still think that I condone piracy or somehow want to profit from it, then that's on you. I've clearly stated that I do not.
