A personal touch helps. I remember getting phone calls from my iGallery rep back in the day, just checking in to see what he could do to help me. I worked with many sponsors, but this was the best at reaching out -- as someone said, "making the effort"
Likewise, once upon a time boxes of steaks or other gifts would show up on my doorstep for my birthday and at Christmas, sent by sponsors, billing companies and other service providers -- little touches that can go a long way towards that "loyalship" -- but efforts that do not seem as common today.
Forget the B.S. promos and sliding scales used to lure the noobs. When an affiliate hits a certain level, send them a bottle of champagne and a "congrats!" note.
