Likewise, once upon a time boxes of steaks or other gifts would show up on my doorstep for my birthday and at Christmas, sent by sponsors, billing companies and other service providers -- little touches that can go a long way towards that "loyalship" -- but efforts that do not seem as common today.
Forget the B.S. promos and sliding scales used to lure the noobs. When an affiliate hits a certain level, send them a bottle of champagne and a "congrats!" note.

A personal touch can help yes but calling was the least I wanted sponsors to do at FreeOnes. Just mail me. However now at the other side of the fence I will start calling people :D
