Same here in Australia. We had loads of guns, then after a couple of shootings and then Port Arthur happened... guns were banned. Oh look, no fucking shootings. Amazing. There is SO MUCH EVIDENCE from around the world that the countries with the least access to guns have the lowest instances of gun crimes and gun deaths. But y'all would rather stick your heads in the sand.
The only actual number my quick google search came up with (lots of sites doing ratios with other things, per centages and per capitas) was 11,364 gun deaths in the US in 2013. That's nearly four times the number of people that died in 9/11, which you went to war for. And dragged half the Western World with you.
But you have rights, right?
