I don't understand this. The ONLY registrar that seems to be offering these new extensions is Network Solutions.
If you request any other name through them, they instantly approve or reject your request, but for these names they are charging for the POSSIBILITY that you may or may not get it?
How can this be? I would say it smells like a scam, but Network Solutions is not known to be scammy.
