That's hard to say Scott. If it was me getting married, I might just go all out and do exactly what you are doing and to hell with the cost.
Everybody needs to do it up decadent at least once.
Now that I live here? I'd hunt down some deals.
But since you are getting married...I think that you made some good choices as far as having a big time and showing out. As I said, you are gonna pay way too much because the strip is that way now (not like the old days of Vegas).
If it were me, and I were concerned about the financial aftermath...I'd probably do what you are planning for the wedding.
After 3 or 4 days you're gonna get bored at the Cosmo. You're gonna have seen what you want to see at that hotel and enjoyed the decadence.
Moving over to the Aria isn't gonna be much of a change.
Both casinos are pretty corporate and cold feeling once you get past all the cool architecture and stuff.
Maybe instead of moving to the Aria for the second week...you should take the party downtown?
Lots more to do and way cheaper.
You can get a nice suite at the Golden Nugget for a lot less money. And then you'll have all of Fremont St. to party on:

You could get one of these suites:

And I really like these too:

That would put you right on Fremont. Bands playing up and down the street. The street is blocked off from all traffic so people just party up and down the street from casino to casino drinking and having fun.
It's the original "strip" in Las Vegas. Hell, there's even a titty bar there!
And you won't have to take a cab. You just stroll up and down the street and have fun.
In my opinion that would be the perfect 2nd week of your stay.
First week at Cosmo living it up decadent on the "modern" strip.
Second week...switching gears. Having more casual fun at The Golden Nugget and enjoying all the cool nightlife on Fremont.
