On a board FULL of ignorant posts, the OP's original post easily makes the Top 3 list.
There is still silly money to be made with paysites. Just because you or people you know can't make money with them, it doesn't mean they are dead. It just means you, or whoever you are speaking to, should go flip burgers and stay out of the way of those who know how to make money.
