Besides the fact that Putin probably took half the money, and someone on the Olympic committee had to have taken some kind of bride.
I am not sure how they decide to have a winter Olympic in a summer resort town that has never had a ski resort there before. Everything had to be built from scratch. The roads, the hotels, the ski lifts, the ski slopes. Everything. They basically had the winter Olympics in the Russian jersey shore.
