As I see it the idea of child pornography laws was to stop the exploitation of children by adults.
NOT to stop the exploration of sexuality by children themselves.
To use the law against the children it was intended to protect is the distortion.
It is crazy that young people can legally have sex (in the UK) at 16 but if they film it they are breaking the law.
Parents cannot even have photos of their own children naked, we have let the sex offenders set the agenda. We cannot see images in an innocent way because of a tiny percentage of sick individuals and law makers who perceive sex as dangerous.
